Why are men obsessed with breasts, chests, boobs and cleavage?

Evolutionary physiologists have previously believed that human’s permanently enlarged breasts allow females to gain male attention and investment. This contrasts to many other primates where breasts enlarge to gain sexual attention during ovulation.

It may seem weird to many however Zoologists theorize that a woman’s cleavage is a sexual symbol that imitates the cleft of the buttocks to entice male attention.

I recently did a survey of my male friends and asked them two questions

1. Are you a Breast, Bum or Leg Man?

2. Were you breast fed or bottle fed as a child?

Out of 30 male friends, 22 preferred breasts. And 20 of these 22 had been breast fed as a young child. It seems from my non scientific study that male breast obsession may be through nurture. We suckle up to our mothers breasts from birth. Therefore the obsession with boobs starts from a very young age.

Coincidently when the remaining 8 men were further quizzed they all liked women’s breasts too as they’re such a visible part of a woman’s body. Maybe if a man’s penis was to extrude constantly out of their trousers women would have a similar level of fascination.

Part of the breast fascination also lies with the fact that as males- we don’t have them. That doesn’t mean that we want them ourselves!

I’ve been on nights out where it’s been a competition over which male can correctly guess the most correct bra sizes. The further challenge has then been to get to know the girl and actually find out the information without getting slapped for the bare faced cheek!

To many women there is a myth that men are obsessed with large breasts. If one had watched the late Lolo Ferrari walking down the road you might have stared at her. However not in admiration, more at what many might have called a freak show. Many men have preferences when it comes to breast fascination. Some prefer smaller, more pert breasts while others might use the old and rather crude saying that” More than a handful is a waste!”

The main downside is what happens to larger breasts on a woman as she grows older.
