Best Music For Cycling And Turbo Training - Songs for Indoor Cycling Workouts To Motivate Cyclists
66Barbers Adagio for Strings- a great cool down track
Music helps to add passion
Music is great for adding enthusiasm and passion to a cycling work out. You can use it to motivate studio cycling workouts and turbo trainer sessions.
You can ride to almost any type of music. Be prepared to listen to the radio next time you hear a song and assess whether you could cycle to it? and what kind of workout would it help with? Variety is the spice of life so explore music outside your usual comfort zone and you could inspire yourself to some great workouts.
Pay attention to the beat of the music and use it as a cue for your cadence. Think about matching your pedal speed to the beat. Dance music can be great for this- especially if you want to improve your leg speed.
Different Tracks can inspire you to do different workouts.
My favourite track for high speed spinning and working on leg speed is David Morales- Needin' U which has a quick dance beat and is to me a feelgood tune. It may not be your choice however it works for me.
If you need a new CD for turbo trainer workouts every week it can get rather expensive. A great tool is to set up playlists on Youtube and have your laptop infront of you while on the turbo trainer at home or keep an eye out in the bargain music sections in your local music store or supermarket.
Please be aware I don't recommend you cycling on the roads with headphones in your ears as you might not hear that lorry behind you!
